Our year-round guided fishing trips focus heavily on the Fox Chain O' Lakes, in Northern Illinois. Our primary target species on the Chain are panfish, walleye, and bass.
We offer casting trips on Lake Michigan for trophy lake trout and brown trout. We also fish other northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin lakes.
C4 is happy to assist our up-and-coming youth and high school anglers with pre-fishing/captaining, learning various techniques, and seasonal patterns. Fishing trips can be tailored for your needs.

Our multi-species experience allows us to offer guided fishing year-round.
Starting early spring--the day the ice comes off--we start chasing trophy crappies for a few weeks. We then transition to pre-spawn walleye, followed by post-spawn walleye before they set up on summer patterns.
Beginning mid-April we also target largemouth and smallmouth bass through the end of fall.
Late May through June we target the biggest bluegill on the Chain. This is fast and non-stop action, great for getting kids involved in fishing!
We do offer limited ice-fishing trips targeting catfish and walleye, pending safe ice conditions.

C4 Guide Service is owned and operated by Antioch, Illinois, fishing guide Mike Conley. Mike is a USCG Certified Master Captain.
Mike is a life-long fisherman, with fishing and crabbing family roots. He has an extensive knowledge of local species, fishes competitively in local tournaments, and is deeply invested in bringing his joy of fishing to others through guided fishing excursions!
His wife, Danielle, serves as operations support.

Why should I book a guided fishing trip with C4 Guide Service?
C4 has over 25 years fishing experience in and around the Antioch and northern Illinois area. We are passionate about fishing and making sure everyone has the best possible outing. While we cannot guarantee the number of fish you'll catch, we guarantee 100% effort in finding and staying on the fish, and will adapt to the circumstances.
Captain Mike is a USCG licensed captain--holding USCG credentials is a federal requirement on the Chain O'Lakes. Fully licensed at the state and federal level; insured.
